Classic Ranch Road Safari

An exhilarating safari in a 5000 acre ranch and game sanctuary overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River celebrated as Kenya’s ultimate ‘’bush home from home’’ together with a safari on a 35,000 acre ranch which sits between two major soda lakes, Lake Magadi in Kenya and Lake Natron in Tanzania deep in the heart of the Great Rift Valley.

Day 1 Collection from Nairobi Airport (JKIA) where you will be met and assisted by a SLA representative and transferred to the Holiday Inn (Westlands) where you will be staying for the night.

Day 2 & 3 The following day depart to Ol Malu perched above the steep valley of the Uaso Nyiro with vast wild spaces, surreal sunrises and spectacular settings. The four exquisite rock and olive wood cottages give breathtaking views over this wild landscape. The next two days will be spent enjoying game drives and escorted nature walks.

Day 4 Drive to Nairobi and check in at Norfolk Hotel the oldest and most famous Nairobi hotel for the night.

Day 5 & 6 The next morning drive to Shompole Lodge which sits between two soda lakes, Lake Magadi and Lake Natron. The lodge straddles a spur of the Nguruman Escarpment, with sweeping views over the 35,000 acres of savannah and swamp. This spring-fed wilderness includes a broad diversity of ecosystems, from acacia woodlands and grassy plains to riverine forests and swamps, providing a vital dispersal area for wildlife between the Masai Mara and Amboseli. Two days of activities to include day and night game drives, with the chance to see variety of rare species including Hyenas, Aardwolves, Jackals and Wild Cats.

Day 7 After six adventure filled days drive to Nairobi to connect with your international flight to Europe or America. Alternatively extend to the Indian Ocean Coast of Mombasa, Malindi, Lamu or the Island of Zanzibar (see accommodation section).
