SIRIMON-NARO MORU WITH PEAK CIRCUIT
A six day trek taking in both the Sirimon route, which offers some of the finest walking and the Naro Moru route, the most popular route with the popular summit circuit path.
Day 1 Collection from Nairobi Airport where a SLA representative will be waiting and transfer you to Nairobi Safari Club for the night.
Day 2 Collection from the hotel by a SLA guide who will accompany you to the park gate via Nanyuki town where the porters will be collected. Overnight will be at the park gate where you will acclimatise ready for the climb.
Day 3 Climb through the rain forest to 3,993 m to Liki North Camp where you will spend the night.
Day 4 The trail proceeds to Shipton’s camp where rest will be taken in order to acclimatise overnight.
Day 5 From Shipton’s camp the trail leads to Kami Hut below the north face of Batian. Continuing west-south west, the trail climbs up switchbacks in the fine snow before reaching Hausberg Col at 4,590m. Descend into the upper Hausberg valley and rest at the aptly Named Oblong and Hausberg Tarns. Ascending to the crest of a ridge known as Arthurs Seat you will see the trail; winding along a beautiful series of rock ledges. Descend to Shipton’s camp for the night.
Day 6 An early 0200 am start for an attempt to reach Point Lenana before descending to Mackinders Camp for breakfast then onto Met station for dinner and overnight.
Day 7 Descend to park gate and transfer to Nairobi where if time allows, you may extend for a safari in any of the diverse parks in Kenya or to the Indian Ocean Coast of Mombasa, Malindi, Lamu or Zanzibar
