Day 1: Nairobi/Lake Manyara
Fly to Kilimanjaro Airport where you will be met by a SLA representative and proceed to Lake Manyara National Park located on the Great Rift Valley. The park is famous for its huge herds of elephant and hundreds of bird species. Along its western borders is the Rift Valley’s Western wall. The park is famous for the tree climbing lions and for its birdlife. Accommodation will be at Manyara Serena Lodge for the night (FB)
Day 2: Lake Manyara/Ngorongoro Crater
The following day proceed to the Ngorongoro Crater for morning game drive to explore the short-grass plains characteristic of the crater floor. This extinct volcano embraces 100 square miles with Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant and Buffalo. Accommodation will be at Ngorongoro Serena where meals will be served (FB).
Day 3 to Day 7: Ngorongoro/Serengeti
Proceed to Serengeti with enroute game drive. Check in at the private luxury mobile camp for the next four nights, moved seasonally to take best advantage of the vast Serengeti. The camp is used as a base for an early morning game drive, a break for a sumptuous lunch, a respite from the heat of the day and the finale today’s adventure where stories can be swapped around a fire. As a small and intimate camp the staff are on hand just to look after the family 10 so the level of attention and service will be excellent.
There will be two game drives at Serengeti National Park every day for the next 4 nights or full day game drive where the clients will depart with picnic lunch if they wish to explore this diverse park in search of the big five and plain animals available. Return to the private luxury camp for meals and rests (FB).
Day 8: Serengeti/Arusha
Depart to the airstrip to connect with the flight to Arusha where you will be met by SLA representative to transfer you to Mount Meru Game Lodge & Sanctuary situated is a unique sanctuary near Arusha. It is complimented by mature and carefully tended gardens which are home to many species of beautiful birdlife. The property, which consist of 33 acres, also sits beside the tranquil waters of the Usa river. The Lodge comprises 17 Double or Twin en-suite bedrooms situated in a combination of detached and semi-detached cottages. The design and character of the rooms are as individualistic as the lodge itself.
Day 9: Arusha/ Nairobi
Collection from the lodge and depart to the airport for the flight to Nairobi where you will be met and transferred to the Carnivore Restaurant famous for its barbecue game meat for complimentary dinner before departing to the airport for the international flight back home. |
