A breathtaking safari in one of Kenya’s wild and beautiful parks; Meru National Park which straddles the equator is bisected by 13 rivers and numerous mountain-fed streams and will be visited together with the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. Accommodation will be at Elsa’s Kopje in Meru and Cottar’s Camp in Masai Mara all in spectacular settings.

Day 1 Collection from Nairobi Airport where you will be met by a SLA representative and transfer to the Holiday Inn in Westlands for an overnight stay.
Day 2, 3 & 4 Collection from the hotel at 0600 hrs and transfer to Wilson Airport for the 0730 hrs scheduled flight to Elsa’s Kopje perched on Mugwango Hill. Elsa’s Kopje is a luxurious oasis in the stunning Meru National Park made famous by the film ‘’Born Free’’ and George Adamson’s lions. It is one of Kenya’s best kept secrets. Each of the 9 individually built cottages are luxurious with the ultimate view. During your three nights stay you will enjoy game drives by open four-wheel vehicles and escorted nature walks.
Day 5 & 6 Return to Nairobi and connect with 1500 hrs flight to Cottar’s 1920 Safari Camp. The camp accommodates up to 12 guests in authentic white canvas and incorporates the original 1920’s safari antiques. The camp has en-suite facilities with an outside verandah. Guest activities include game drives guided by professional guides (Calvin Cottar) in either state of the art modern four wheel drive vehicle, an authentic old wooden car or oxen pulled wagon. Complimentary massage, pedicure and manicure are provided.
Day 7 After two nights adventure in the Masai Mara, return by the 1600 hrs light aircraft flight to Nairobi for your international flight. Alternatively you may extend your holiday to the Indian Ocean Coast of Mombasa, Malindi, Lamu, or Zanzibar (see the accommodation section). If time allows before your flight take an optional Nairobi excursion. |
