Must See Safari

Combining Kenya and Tanzania, this 11 day exciting safari may start in Mombasa allowing guests staying in any of the Mombasa resorts to explore what these two countries have to offer in terms of wildlife and scenery. One way flight will be included from Masai Mara to Mombasa to reduce travelling time.

Day 1 & 2 Collection from your resort in Mombasa where a SLA representative will brief you on the safari before departing to Tsavo National Park famous for its Elephant, Buffalo and plains game. Two nights will be at Kilaguni Lodge overlooking a water hole where animals come to feed. The grand vistas of Tsavo include towering bluffs and deep canyons, many water courses and small ponds. During game drives, Leopards are regularly seen as is abundant birdlife.

Day 3 & 4 Drive to Amboseli National Park and to Amboseli Serena Lodge for two nights. Amboseli means ‘’place of water’’ in the Masai language. The park has an endless supply of water which is filtered through thousands of meters of volcanic rock from Mount Kilimanjaro. Game drives will be in the park where the main attraction is the vast herd of Elephant.

Day 5 & 6 Drive to Ngorongoro Serena Lodge for two nights with lunch en-route. The lodge is built into the rim of a dormant volcano close to the Olduvai Gorge, the ‘’birthplace of mankind’’. Guest rooms have private verandahs with views of the crater floor where countless animals make their home. Exhilarating game drives, descending the steep crater walls by four wheel drive vehicles, are available morning and evening.

Day 7 & 8 Drive to Serengeti Serena Lodge set on a hill with breathtaking vistas of a landscape teeming with game. There will be ample opportunity to view animals in their natural habitat for the next two nights. In the evening there will be traditional dances and 'slide' presentations by a resident naturalist.

Day 9 & 10 Drive along the migratory route through the little used Sirari border to the Masai Mara Game Reserve the most popular game sanctuary in Kenya. There is a profusion of all types of wildlife in this reserve to include the ‘’Big Five’’. Accommodation will be at the Mara Serena Lodge with morning and evening game drives.

Day 11 Fly to Mombasa after three days of adventure in the Masai Mara. If time allows optional Mombasa excursions are available.

(NB: This safari can also start from Nairobi)
