A safari into two relatively unknown Southern
Tanzania game reserves of Selous, Africa’s largest game reserve
and Ruaha which offers fantastic game viewing. With permanent rivers
in the two reserves, there is abundant wildlife. An ideal safari
for those wishing to leave the beaten track to discover the wilderness
of Africa.

Day 1 Collection from Nairobi Airport
and transfer to Holiday Inn (Westlands) where you will spend the
night.
Day 2, 3 & 4 The following day
fly to Kilimanjaro airport where you will connect with the flight
to Selous Game Reserve. This reserve contains the greatest concentration
of big game animals left in the world today. Three nights will be
spent at the luxury Selous Safari Camp having 12 tents, all with
en-suite facilities, and mounted on wooden decks where you will
be able to sit and relax. Game viewing will be by flat bottom boat
in addition to the usual game drives in four wheel drive vehicles
and walking safaris.
Day 5 & 6 Fly by light aircraft
to the game reserve of Ruaha, a remote wilderness in Tanzania. Two
nights will be spent at the River Lodge, set in an area of outstanding
natural beauty on the banks of the Ruaha River offering one of the
prime game viewing areas of the reserve. The lodge is built from
local stone. The rooms are individual thatched rondavels each with
en-suite facilities. Game drives are by four wheel drive vehicles.
Escorted walks along the river bank can be organized at extra cost.
Day 7 Return to Kilimanjaro airport
for your flight to Nairobi where you will connect with your onward
flight back home. Alternatively if time allows take an optional
Nairobi excursion or extend to the Indian Ocean Coast of Mombasa,
Malindi, Lamu or Zanzibar |
