THE MULTI FACETED SOUTH

Day 1: ANTANANARIVO - ANTSIRABE
Arrival in Antananrivo. Assistance during formalities. Continuation directly to Antsirabe. Typical landscape of the highland : vast fields of rice and wheat, charming laterite colored villages. On the way, visit of a traditional workshop making pots with a rudimentary material. Lunch at "Rendez-vous des Pêcheur". Arrival at Antsirabe. Visit of the city and the surroundings and a semi-precious stone shop. Dinner and night at hotel

Day 2: ANTSIRABE - RANOMAFANA
Wonderful landscape terrace rice fields on th slopes of the hills. Stops at Ambositra, capital of Malagasy handicraft. Lunch at the restaurant IMANASOAVAHINY aimated by folkloric danse . Continuation to Ranomafana through vast forests of eucalyptus and arrival at Ranomafana late in the afternoon. Dinner and night at hotel

Day 3: RANOMAFANA - FIANARANTSOA
Visit of the reserve of Ranomafana, situated inside a mountainous region. Humid forest characterised by numeous euphorb, epiphyte plants, palm trees and orchids. The fauna
is rich: the hapalemur Aureus was recently discovered and the reserve is its unique sanctuary. A big variety of birds, many of them endemic of Madagascar. Lunch at the restaurant RIANALA . Back to Fianarantsoa in afternoon. Dinner and night at hotel.

Day 4: FIANARANTSOA - IHOSY
Through ricefields and tabacco plantation. Possibility of visiting vineyards. At Ambalavao, visit of the Antaimoro paper workshop. Passing by the "Porte du Sud" here is the beginning of this extraordinary tour of the south along endless strange natural shapes, large Savannahs. The traveler suddenly discovers a new world, an unexpected landscape. Big herds of zebus on the way. Lunch at the Bougainvilliers . Arrival at Ihosy in the afternoon. Dinner and night at hotel

Day 5: IHOSY - RANOHIRA
Continuation to Ranohira, after breakfast. Full day visit of the Isalo Park, a lunar landscape of continental sandstone of the Jurassic era. Walk to the "Piscine Naturelle", a surprising site which invites to relax and bath. Picnic lunch. Back to the hotel in the afternoon. Dinner and night at hotel

Day 6: RANOHIRA - TULEAR - IFATY
Arid vegetation of the south with a big variety of succulents, euphorbs…. Presence of funeral art as Aloalo figures made of typical carved wood with geometric design and naive daily life scenes.Lunch at the restaurant ESTEREL after the visit of the shells market . Continuation to Ifaty, dinner and night at hotel.

Day 7: IFATY
Exceptional site for fishing and diving, stay at leisure. Dinner and night at hotel.

Day 8: IFATY - ANTANANARIVO - PARIS
Return to Antananarivo. Transfer to airport
Assistance during International departure formalities.
