Day 1: Arrive/Nairobi
Welcome to Nairobi, Kenya’s vibrant capital city. You will be met on arrival and driven in a private vehicle to the House of Waine located on the outskirts of Nairobi. Set in 2.5 acres of lush gardens in the peaceful suburb of Karen, the House of Waine is a serene getaway, worlds apart from the hustle and bustle of central Nairobi. This attractive boutique hotel retains the charm and appearance of an elegant country manor. The 11 rooms are individually and exquisitely furnished and the service provided throughout the hotel is friendly and highly personalize. Meal plan is bed and breakfast.
Day 2: Fly Amboseli
After breakfast a transfer will be provided to Wilson for the scheduled morning flight to Amboseli. Your driver guide will be waiting to drive you to Tortilis Camp; everything you imagined an African safari camp to be, with magnificent views of Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance and grazing wild herds gathering at the water hole nearby, The fifteen tents are a perfect blend of refined comfort and rustic style, each with its own thatch-roofed veranda and a sweeping view of the surrounding landscape. The ensuite tents are spacious and thoughtfully spaced at some distance from each other offering total privacy and views across the plains to Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy delightful home-cooked Italian food with vegetables and herbs grown right at the camp. The afternoon is free to relax before taking your first game drive. Meal plan will include soft drinks, local beers, house wine and non luxury spirits.
Day 3: Amboseli
We have a full day to explore Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drives. Enjoy the spectacular display of wildlife and Kilimanjaro in the background providing some amazing photographic moments. In between game viewing guests can relax by the swimming pool or sit by the verandah and watch a dazzling display of bird life.
Day 4: Mt.Kenya Safari Club
After an early breakfast a transfer will be provided to the Airstrip for the scheduled flight back to Wilson where your driver will be waiting to take you to the Mount Kenya Safari Club that offers guest a unique blend of comfort, relaxation and adventure.
Set in over 100 acres of landscaped gardens, the Mount Kenya Safari Club is a legend unto itself. Originally a private home during the “White Mischief” period of the 1930s, actor William Holden turned it into an exclusive club with Winston Churchill, Bing Crosby, Clark Gable and Conrad Hilton amongst its founding members. We will arrive in time for lunch and clients have a wide range of activities to choose from - swimming, golfing and horseback riding to tennis, fishing and exploring the animal orphanage housed here.
Day 5: Mount Kenya Safari Club
Spend the day at leisure enjoying the facilities and activities that are available for the guests. Meal plan is full board.
Day 6: Fly / Masai Mara
A transfer will be provided to the Nanyuki airstrip after breakfast for the scheduled flight to the Masai Mara. Your driver guide will be waiting to drive you to the luxurious Ngerende Island Lodge where we are booked for three nights. Ngerende has just seven sumptuous en-suite built on raised platforms that provide delightful panoramic views down onto the Mara River and the woodland on the bank, opposite. Each elegant tent has polished mahogany flooring (including the terrace) and is extremely spacious. Each has an open plan sleeping and living area, complete with fireplace; bathroom providing both a massage shower, open air bath (if desired) twin hand wash basins and flushing toilet. Each suit is attended by a butler who also waits on the guests at mealtimes. Have lunch and a short nap. Later in the afternoon you take your first game drive in the Conservancy abundant in plains games, predators and a myriad of birds. Meal plan is all inclusive.
Day 7 & 8: Masai Mara
You have another few days to enjoy the splendors of what the Mara has to offer. Guests enjoy an intimate and relaxed stay and the pace of your safari may be as active or as leisurely as you wish. A wide range of activities are offered including walks with the resident naturalist, visits to the nearby Masai village (entrance extra), a visit to the local school, sundowners, bush meals weather permitting and game drives in the Conservancy. Guests may also relax by the pool or spend some rejuvenating moments at the spa (optional extra) .Meal plan is all inclusive.
Day 9: Fly Nairobi
You have an option of an early game drive today. The rest of the day may be spent at leisure and after lunch a transfer will be provided to the Airstrip for the scheduled flight to Nairobi. On arrival at Wilson Airport, you will be met and driven to the Carnivore Restaurant for a farewell complimentary dinner and later taken to the Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your outbound flight after an exciting safari.
