Day 1: Fly Nairobi / Masai Mara
On arrival at the Airport you will be met and driven to Wilson for the scheduled flight to Mara. Your driver guide will be waiting to drive you to the luxurious Ngerende Island Lodge where we are booked for three nights. Ngerende has just seven sumptuous en-suite built on raised platforms that provide delightful panoramic views down onto the Mara River and the woodland on the bank, opposite. Each elegant tent has polished mahogany flooring (including the terrace) and is extremely spacious. Each has an open plan sleeping and living area, complete with fireplace; bathroom providing both a massage shower, open air bath (if desired) twin hand wash basins and flushing toilet. Each suit is attended by a butler who also waits on the guests at mealtimes. Have lunch and a short nap. Later in the afternoon you take your first game drive in the Conservancy abundant in plains games, predators and a myriad of birds. Meal plan is all inclusive.
Day 2 & 3: Masai Mara
You have another few days to enjoy the splendors of what the Mara has to offer. Guests enjoy an intimate and relaxed stay and the pace of your safari may be as active or as leisurely as you wish. A wide range of activities are offered including walks with the resident naturalist, visits to the nearby Masai village (entrance extra), a visit to the local school, sundowners, bush meals weather permitting and game drives in the Conservancy. Guests may also relax by the pool or spend some rejuvenating moments at the spa (optional extra) .Meal plan is all inclusive.
Day 4: Fly Masai Mara/ Nairobi / Kilimanjaro in Tanzania
After a leisurely breakfast a transfer will be provided for the scheduled flight to Wilson where you will connect with the flight to Kilimanjaro Airport, Tanzania. On arrival you will be met and driven to the Arusha Coffee Lodge a luxurious recreation of a bygone era expansive views over Mount Meru and Tanzania’s largest coffee plantation. Each of the 20 multi-level suites features a grand, four-poster bed and distinctive wood-paneled walls, private deck patios, with a palate of earth colors that reflect the land as well as its own coffee percolator. Guests can make the morning's coffee using freshly ground beans plucked right outside their windows! Meal plan will include dinner and breakfast.
Day 5: Serengeti
Today we fly to the magnificent Serengeti famed for its vast tree-less grasslands allowing for excellent wildlife sightings. Your driver will be waiting to take you to Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp set in the remote reaches of the Park, on a by water of the Grumeti River, known for its wildebeest crossings and enormous Nile crocodiles. Tucked into a strip of riverine forest, guests thrill to the antics of spectacular pied Colobus monkeys (found nowhere else in the Serengeti) and enjoy nocturnal serenades by orchestras of owls and bush babies. Every year between June and July, Africa’s annual Great Migration passes through Grumeti, and hundreds upon thousands of wildebeest, zebra and other herbivores cross the Grumeti River, risking the jaws of some of Africa’s largest crocodiles. Meal plan will include soft drinks, house wines, local branded spirits and beers and laundry.
Day 6: Serengeti
We awaken to the sounds of the African bush and after breakfast we depart with picnic lunches for a day exploring the depths of the Serengeti. We return to the Camp in the late afternoon for a welcome rest and fine cuisine. Meal plan will include soft drinks, house wines, local branded spirits and beers and laundry.
Day 7: Fly to Manyara / Drive to Ngorongoro
After breakfast we will board the scheduled flight to Manyara where your guide will be waiting to drive you to the Ngorongoro Crater. We arrive in time for lunch at the spectacular Ngorongoro Lodge that is uniquely designed, with three adjacent, glamorous camps with 30 Masai-inspired suites perched on stilts on the rim of the spectacular views of the crater. Steeped in romance, each stilted, handcrafted mud and thatch suite is adorned with graceful antiques, En suite bathrooms, with a centre piece of fresh roses, feature huge showers and chandelier-lit bathtubs, while floor-to-ceiling windows ensure breathtaking views from everywhere. Meal plan will include soft drinks, house wines, local branded spirits and beers and laundry.
Day 8: Ngorongoro
Today we explore the Ngorongoro Crater one of the natural wonders of the world. This is a perfect caldera, one of the largest in the world offering a spectacular wildlife haven. Over 30 000 animals inhabit the deep crater, making this one of the few places in Africa where guests spend a memorable morning exploring the breadth and depth of this natural wonder with a great chance of seeing the entire Big Five in the course of a single game drive.
Cocktails, a sumptuous meal and a wonderful evening wait as back at the Lodge and meal plan will include soft drinks, house wines, local branded spirits and beers and laundry.
Day 9: Lake Manyara Tree Lodge
After breakfast we drive to Lake Manyara National Park a beautiful and incredibly diverse park offering a varied ecosystems, incredible bird life, and breathtaking views. The park is well known for its tree-climbing lions, the only kind of their species in the world who make the ancient mahogany and elegant acacias their home during the rainy season. Our home tonight is Lake Manyara Tree Lodge with only ten luxurious yet intimate suites located in a remote corner of the reserve. The ensuite stilted tree house suites are cradled in the boughs of an ancient mahogany forest and blending into the natural beauty of its breathtaking surroundings. Been the only Lodge in the Lake Manyara National Park, it offers an exclusive wildlife experience Have lunch and in the late afternoon enjoy a wild and remote game viewing experience. Meal plan will include soft drinks, house wines, local branded spirits and beers and laundry.
Day 10: Fly Nairobi/Depart
You have an option of an early game drive today. After breakfast a transfer will be provided to the Airport for the flight back to Nairobi. If time allows enjoy a complimentary dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant and later an evening transfer will be provided to Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your departure flight.
